Additional Activity:

Take suggestions from students (or ask parents if the kids are nonverbal) ahead of time about things that they find comforting/like to do when they are scared. Write each one down on a piece of paper (or make icons for non-verbal kids), and then place them in a pouch, hat, or bag. Have the kids sit in a circle and pass the bag around. Everyone takes a turn picking one out of the bag and then doing one of the following: act it out, say "yes" if it is something they like to do when they are scared or "no" if it isn't, ask each kid in the group if it is a yes or a no and then chart it.
